The nuances of social media in the fitness space/What to be aware of

How hard is it to navigate social media though? The overwhelm of seeing so many different diets, what I eat in a days, trends and all the “you should do this to” ect. It can make you loose touch with what your body actually needs to progress at a healthy rate that is sustainable for you

My recommendation? Stop scrolling and look to what the context is for you. Remember that social media doesn’t display how the individuals feel on the inside, their relationship with food, their daily lives outside of the fitness and the down times they have in their life and fitness journey.

If you have a fitness goal then establishing more basic structure in your day to day that your can prioritise in with your schedule (think a training program and nutrition to fit your goals) will remove the overwhelm. In creating small micro goals and enjoying your wins along the way, the confidence that you have in yourself will grow and develop into your own journey where you don’t need the external “advice” anymore.
